It's been 8 months since my last post, but I hope to get back to blogging so I can help those who are struggling or are looking for information.
May 5, 2018, I had a hair appointment for a shampoo, style, and color (dark brown). I was glad to get my gray hair covered, although I really don't have much gray hair. The style she gave me was awesome! My hair needed shaping and a trim. The relaxed hair is dead and beginning to break off anyway.
My hair has begun to grow in the top where it was thin. My hairstylist gave me a pixie style cut because I didn’t want to do the “Big Chop”. I wanted to let it grow, cut off some relaxed hair as it started to grow back, then repeat this process periodically. I knew it would take longer to transition, but I was okay with this.
At work I received a lot of compliments on my new hair cut from colleagues. The cut is also easy to maintain. I never knew I could wear a short hair cut because I had always worn my hair at my shoulders.
