6/16/19, I finally took my clip-ins out in the top of my head, and wow! it was so freeing.
I think I am mostly natural now because I chose to leave some relaxed hair in the top, since it was thin and damaged. I did another finger coil test using the Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-in along with As I Am Curling Jelly, and the Curls Goddess Curls Botanical Gelle. I was needing more moisture in my hair because it was now summer in Texas.
Again, what I found is my hair was less defined and looked more like a fro. What I have decided is I need to lock in my moisture with my argan oil (my hair loves this stuff), and instead of using the Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-in, I will use the AS I Am Leave-in Conditioner. The Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-in is so moisturizing that my roots stay puffy.
Although I still don't think I am seeing my true curl pattern yet, I'm beginning to see less frizz and more definition. There has been a lot of trial and error, but I have found that I like wearing my natural hair. The journey so far has definitely been worth it.
